There are many ways to include whey protein into your diet and exercise regime; the most common way is adding a scoop to 100-180mls of water in a shaker cup, which makes for the quickest and easiest way to consume whey as you can have it on the go. If you don’t have one already, we recommend getting a stacker shaker cup or the power tower from Myprotein for under £2, so you can carry around your whey throughout the day for whenever you need it.

Here are additional ways in which you can add it to your diet.

Milk: We use Almond milk due to the health benefits behind it but if you prefer you can add it to your standard milk. Treat it in the same way as water in a shaker cup and drink.

Yoghurt: Add a scoop of whey to your lunch time yoghurt. It is a great addition to plain or greek style yoghurts as some people do not like the flavours. Opt for a flavoured whey to add a new twist to your yoghurt, we like adding Strawberry or Chocolate Mint.

Protein Bars: These are an easy way to have whey protein on the go. You can pick them up in any health store and some supermarkets. You don’t need to add anything to them, but we do suggest consuming a drink with them preferably water as they can be a little bit chewy.

Soups: Adding a scoop to your favourite soup will help you get the most out of your meal. Even better added to home made soup so you know you’re just getting pure natural goodness.

Cereal / Porridge: adding a scoop to your first meal of the day will get you started in the right direction. Also have a glass of orange or grapefruit juice with your morning meal. The acid will help with breaking it down.

Smoothies / Fruit Juice: If this is how you make sure you get your 5-a-day then adding a scoop of unflavoured whey will make sure you’re getting the most from your healthy juice fix.

  2. Take 200 / 250 mls of Almond milk and heat it up to the temperature you want.
  3. Add 1 scoop of Chocolate or Chocolate Mint whey protein
  4. Stir
  5. Sit back, relax and enjoy a guilt free hot chocolate
